landmarks are exciting for players that are new but want some organization. Either a dedicated day of Animal Crossing Items this week for submitting them (or even have them enabled on the weekends) or some megathread
Pictures taken of the console screen are nice as long as the image is discernible. There's no point posting photographs with so much glare that I can't see what's happening. HQ pictures are easy to access a telephone with the new upgrade. (I also saw the post with the switch in the microwave. It was crazy )
photos of clothing/merch could be sort of repetitive. Everyone posting a photograph of the same palette or box when it arrives in the mail is tedious.
The only time I had been annoyed by somebody carrying a pic of the switch's display instead of employing the screencap purpose was when a dude who was clearly trolling kept posting more and more absurd shots of his display, culminating in him posting a pic of his change's display in the microwave once somebody pointed out the lighting in his other pics was awful. However, in my own experience modding on other sites, some people are always going to fall for the troll bait, sadly.
That I have no issue with new gamers posting on here their first excitements with the game. It is not like those pop up in the"sexy" deadline, and you would only see them in case you were viewing"new". I agree with Slackerboe that having new users place these things increase the inclusiveness of this community. It reminds me when I first started playing and I believe that it's wholesome.
Do not care about photos taken of this console-screen, I think exactly what the picture itself is if matter.
This really annoys me. We've read ourselves by now. Something something, smug villager says nobody can hear him shout from his basement. It's fun to share if you're the individual who achieved the milestone, but it gets tiresome to see so many"first blue rose" posts.
Photos of this Switch
Perhaps some type of message about how to post screenshots could help? I really don't think that they should be prohibited altogether, but there's just no reason anyone should be taking an image of the display in 2021.
Pictures of irl merch
Something that disturbs me in a lot of gaming subreddits is"that I bought the thing!" Posts reaching huge amounts of upvotes. However, there are some really talented artists out there making exquisite fanmade merch, which should not be discounted. I want to mention that Cheap Nook Miles Ticket perhaps merch posts should be limited to the people who made the things, but that may cross into self-promotion too much.
