There are NBA Playoffs currently 2K MT underway, 2K Games uses NBA 2K22 to create a simulation of the teams and determine which teams will play in the final. The NBA Playoffs are on the way where 16 teams will compete against each other in a best-of-seven competition to determine who will become the 2022 NBA Champion. In the video game world, 2K Games attempts to predict the NBA Final, using NBA 2K22 to simulate the entire tournament, much as they did using NBA 2K21.

The simulation is created using in the NBA Playoffs mode and entering each team in their proper positions to accurately recreate the real-life structure. NBA 2K22 runs the games through an automated system and plays each round of the playoff in order to determine the winner of each one and moving them to the next round.

The first round of the tournament had a few surprises, since most of the big teams were able to take down their opponents fairly easily. The matchups featuring teams closer in the rankings were thrilling, especially that of the Mavericks and Jazz pair, which played through the entire seven-game set regardless of missing NBA 2K22 cover athlete Luka Doncic in the first game and two.

Perhaps the most shocking thing is the seventh-seed Brooklyn Nets defeating the second-seed Boston Celtics in six games most likely due to the fact that the Celtics are off to a 2-0 start in the opening round. The one prediction that is the closest to coming true is the Philadelphia 76ers winning in the series against the Toronto Raptors, as the series is currently 3-0 to Philadelphia's favor.

In the second round, the Phoenix Suns takedown Doncic and the Mavericks in six games, while the Grizzlies beat the Warriors in just six games. The 76ers have continued to prove their superiority in the postseason, thanks to Ja Morant who remains one of the top players in NBA 2K22. He defeated The Miami Heat in five games. The Bucks surpass the Nets in an exciting seven-game series, setting up an exciting series of Conference Finals.

The first-seed Suns NBA 2K23 MT progress  towards the NBA Final by eliminating the second-seed Grizzlies in just six games, which ended their amazing season. Devin Booker will have likely been a factor in the Suns incredible postseason run as Booker is the second best shooting guard in NBA 2K22, ranking just behind James Harden.
