Brack isn't having the best of beginnings due to the announcement of a mobile version Diablo that people were not happy about. This, by Brack's own admits, was an issue that could be handled more efficiently. However, in the midst of this drama and afterwards, it's actually Brack's viewpoint and his past that he has that he highlights when asking fans to believe in Brack and the studio.

While Brack admits the messaging could have been more clear, Brack is still confident in Diablo: Immortal as a game, and believes that it is a true representation of Blizzard's values, as they have always been and will continue to remain. Not just that, Brack believes that the Blizzard of today carries an ethos of same company who brought us Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and the many other games that are adored by the stable.

In the lead up to the conclusion of this season, Diablo League season. And BlizzCon 2019. We spoke with Brack about the response to Diablo: Immortal, the keeping of the studio's name, and his ambitions for Blizzard.

What was it like to see World of Warcraft Classic launch considering your past experience with the game and company. It must have been interesting to witness the halcyon days of Diablo being brought back to life.

J. Allen Brack: Yeah. I believe that it was almost two years ago at BlizzCon that I said that we were planning to create Diablo Classic. It was something that the fans had been asking for for a long time.

We told ourselves that we weren't going to go through with it. Then, in the first part of 2017. we figured out how to do it. Thus, announcing it to BlizzCon was honestly one of my most memorable moments of work. It was truly unexpected. It was really something that was not something that anyone thought we could ever do because of our comments on it.
