Paul Jr.'s New York-based custom-bike store Paul Jr. Designs will build two real-world motorcycles to represent the in-game factions Horde and Alliance the project will be featured in a seven-part World Of Warcraft web series which will begin this week. At the end of the series, fans will vote and a winner--Horde , or Alliance--will be named. The winners will get the bike free of charge in the game, whereas the others will be left in the dust.

In an interview with P2Pah, Paul Jr.--who also designed a custom bike for Gears of War 3--said Blizzard didn't ever try to rein on his vision of what Horde as well as Alliance bikes could look like. He claimed that this degree of freedom is rare even for a popular and valuable brand like World of Warcraft.

"I was totally creatively liberated which is awe inspiring. It's true that Blizzard had greater control on the editing side of things however from the standard of what these looked like they regarded me as a trusted source. Of course, I'm absorbing advice from the people who created the world because that's the source I'm going to draw my ideas from. But at the end the day, I'm the guy who makes the final decision. And that makes a very special relationship."

"Nobody else is going to achieve that. This is an exceptional situation. Blizzard as with many of these giant companies, they do not give up this kind of creative control. it's a lot of fun to watch" he said. "When it comes to it, I'd like them to release that control and let me manage and trust me, it's rare; nobody else has done that."
