Diablo 2: Resurrected isn't so slammed like Diablo 4. but it wasn't exactly a major step in the direction of the series. It was a fun hit of nostalgia to long-time players however, it didn't draw new players. Games perform best when they have a lively that is engaged, growing and a players base, and Diablo 4 is Blizzard's chance to build another. There are many new possibilities that the Diablo franchise could take but imitating old games or introducing excessive microtransactions is certainly not the best way to go.
