It's beyond time to make the video game version of the Super Bowl better than it is. The announcers work hard to establish the mood by describing how significant the juggernaut match is in their pregame announcements, however, the actual game does not really feel like the actual Super Bowl. The lack of quality presentations and certain aspects of Super Bowl aesthetics like the logo and patches that leave many things to be desired makes it appear like an exhibition match rather than an event that is one of the important events in a player's life.
Expand on the Face Of The Franchise
One of the most interesting features that have been incorporated into the Madden games over the last few years is its feature called the Story Mode, Face of the Franchise. The game has brought some amazing ideas to players throughout the years, but has yet to realize its true potential. Its new version added the possibility of creating a character and play at both high school and collegiate levels. However, it could be superior to that, by allowing players to play whole seasons at lower levels prior to jumping into what is essentially Franchise mode, but with a more compelling narrative.
Present Player Scenarios In A Better Way
Players were introduced to the Franchise Mode's scenarios engine several games back, and it was not very popular among players. Some felt it was just "boosts" hidden as key options that could affect the professional career of a player. Throwing in scenarios that players are going to have to think about can be a great option if done correctly. Rather than focus on rewarding players with stat perks, have it be that the decisions affect how the season goes. For instance, a player may handle a smaller workload or nursing an injury to recover.
Make A System More Stronger For Coaching
It's odd how offensive and defensive coordinators have not been the main focus of the game for some time. Wouldn't it be great to have a team of three fantastic coaches working together on the same team? Additionally, Franchise Mode has a tendency to recruit coaches who don't have any connection to or affiliated with the league. It would be much more enjoyable to see random players get positions as coordinators, and then should they perform well, raising them up to head coaching. This would certainly make some sense than a randomly-generated person managing a franchise with no prior experience.
