As a player who spent the majority the duration wow

As a player who spent the majority the duration of my World of Warcraft life as healer, I spent a good portion of my game time was spent staring at different bars and numbers trying to heal my party properly. These numbers rose exponentially with each subsequent expansion, with players hitting 6-digit numbers in health and damage values.

Blizzard has announced its intention to implement an "item squash" using its Warlords of Draenor patch, streamlining item statistics such as player and monster attributes, health, and health. The effect of this was immediately evident when selecting a character from the preassigned beta templates. As a paladin at level 90 I was carrying about 50K health. I also averaged less destruction output than I'm used to. However, enemies had also been scaled down, meaning the time I spent in combat with each one of the monsters was relatively identical.

The simplified figures were simpler to grasp as I no longer had to convert half-million numbers. Although they sound like a lot of fun the new format helped make combat figures more understandable.

In a departure from the standard combat Warlords of Draenor introduces garrisons. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that these areas designed by players draw elements from the World of Warcraft real-time strategy games. Assigned a specific area of my own, I could build structures and grow in size my army. But in lieu of having free control over the building location I was limited to preassigned empty slots. Buildings require resources, and exist separately to the gold players who typically accumulate. I acquired these resources in the form of quest rewards. Like games like the World of Warcraft RTS games, structures take time to construct, and I soon ran out of resources I had in my possession.
